Anthrax scientist commits suicide

U.S. biodefense anthrax researcher committed suicide after he found out that the Justice Department was about to file a criminal charges against him that traumatized the entire nation in the following weeks after the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

Bruce E. Ivins, 62, scientist, who worked at the government's biodefense labs at Fort Detrick, Md. for the past 18 years. FBI’s investigations focuses on the laboratory were the anthrax attacks, which killed five citizens.
